A bespoke Make Up experience created for you

How did you start in Make Up?

Having started a course in Theatrical and Special FX Make Up and Make Up for Film and TelevisionI  was lucky enough to secure a job in M.A.C. Cosmetics whilst sudying. It was there where I gained invaluable experience working with thousands of clients over 8 years. After that brilliant time in M.A.C. I left to persue my career as a freelance artist in my own Dublin based studio. At that time I also took up the challenge to devise a training programme for INGLOT Ireland and worked with them for 2 years before moving from Ireland to Ibiza to persue a new chapter in my make up career.

What is involved in a Lesson?

Lesson’s are a one to one, personalized service. Before we start we will discuss what you what to achieve from your Lesson that day. I encourage people to bring along with them the products they use regularly so we can discuss them and asses which are best and what products you might need to add to your make up bag.

The Lesson is a step by step process which is really hands on so you really get to grips with technique and application skills.

I work on one half of the face, talking you through what I am doing, and, once each step is done you will have the opportunity to recreate the step on the other side. This process means you gain a lot more than if you were merely observing.

At the end I create a chart for the make up we applied which you take home to refer to and remind you of what you’ve learned.

What products do you work with?

I have worked with a huge range of products and the brands that have become my favorite and most used are MAC Cosmetics, Estee Lauder, L.A. based brand Cinema Secrets and skin care brand La Roche Posay.

I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting technologies and products, and work with a clients personal favorites if they wish.

What work are you available for?

My work in the studio consists mainly of make up applications and one on one lessons. I also do masterclasses for small groups.

Outside the studio work consists of pretty much anything you can imagine. From basic and natural/character make up for Film/TV/Advertising to high fashion or theatrical work for shoots and shows. I also work with a close network of people to organise backstage hair and make up for shows or events.

Bridal work is very important to me so I liase a lot with brides and work on trials with them, so with that a lot of my work involves travelling to bridal parties to do make when that special day arrives.

Bridal Make Up

Do I need a trial?

A trial is a good idea for lots of reasons-

Firstly it eliminates a lot of stress and worry on the morning of the wedding, and thats the last thing you want then when you should be enjoying yourself.

Trials are also good if your trying something new or have a few different ideas you want to play around with so there will be no guess work involved when the wedding day arrives.

What should I expect the morning of my wedding?

I always arrive with lots of time to spare to allow for any delays that often people have no control of.

We can work the make up in any order you like. Usually what works best is to do any bridesmaids first and family members and leave the bride’s make up until last or second last so its really fresh and we’re doing it while the photographer is there to capture you getting ready.

At the trial I can advise you what products you might need to keep your make up looking perfect on the day but this will usually just be a translucent powder and lipstick/gloss.

How many people can you do on the day?

I have done weddings comfortably with 8 people who were having make up but I find the usual number of people on the morning would be 5/6.

Do you travel?

I can travel anywhere within Ibiza or mainland Spain

If there is anything important I haven’t mentioned contact me through my contact page.
